The Challenge
The main challenge was digitally transferring the luxury restaurant experience to the home and building customer trust in buying frozen (perishable) food online. It required a delicate balance between appetizing design, fast performance, and complex logistics for shipping and return policies, all while targeting a diverse audience through dual-language content.
The Solution
We built a fully custom WooCommerce store using the WoodMart theme to ensure the best UX. The solution included integrating the Paymob payment gateway and enabling WPML for multi-language support. We focused strategically on content by crafting creative product descriptions and a 'Chef Tips' section. Technically, we added sales-boosting features like abandoned cart recovery, a smart free shipping bar, and linked the store to the WooCommerce app for mobile order and inventory management.
